Privacy Policy
Official privacy notice for the Home Direct Marketing Marketplace.
Effective date: April 22, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Home Direct Marketing Marketplace collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when buyers, administrators, consumers, lead sources, and visitors use the marketplace, account portal, public website, lead delivery, alert, payment, and support services.
The marketplace helps approved home-service buyers review and purchase exclusive leads. Because the service involves buyer account data, Google sign-in data, payment data, communications data, and consumer lead information, this policy is intended to give clear operational context for each major data flow.
Buyer account and application information
We collect contact name, company name, business details, email address, phone number, service categories, ZIP coverage, account status, legal acknowledgments, support requests, and other information submitted during onboarding or account use.
Authentication and Google Sign-In data
Clerk provides authentication, session management, account identity signals, and social sign-in support. If you sign in with Google, we request only the non-sensitive Google Sign-In scopes openid, email, and profile. This may provide your Google account identifier, name, email address, profile image, and sign-in status.
Consumer lead information
Lead records may include homeowner or consumer name, phone number, email address, service request, project details, location, preferred contact information, source details, timestamps, consent metadata, and quality review notes.
Marketplace activity
We collect lead views, alerts, purchases, refund requests, wallet ledger entries, pricing snapshots, delivery attempts, admin actions, audit events, and buyer preferences so the marketplace can operate and be reviewed.
Payments and billing
Stripe may process payment method, billing, subscription, invoice, tax, dispute, and fraud-prevention data. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Communications and device data
Twilio may process SMS alert and opt-out data. Mailgun may process email delivery, alert, and transactional message data. We also collect cookies, logs, IP address, device, browser, and security event data to protect and maintain the service.
How we use information
- Approve, administer, suspend, or support buyer accounts.
- Match leads to buyer coverage, lead types, plan limits, and account standing.
- Display masked lead previews and deliver purchased lead details to the buyer that completes the purchase.
- Send account, billing, lead alert, refund, compliance, and support communications by email, SMS, and in-app notices.
- Process payments, wallet credits, invoices, disputes, refunds, and fraud-prevention checks.
- Monitor reliability, debug issues, prevent unauthorized access, enforce marketplace terms, and maintain audit history.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests, disputes, investigations, or policy violations.
Approved buyers
When a buyer purchases a lead, we disclose the purchased consumer lead information to that buyer for permitted follow-up under the Terms and Buyer Compliance Policy.
Service providers
We use vendors and infrastructure providers for hosting, databases, authentication, Clerk, Stripe, Twilio, Mailgun, analytics, security, logging, fraud prevention, customer support, and business operations.
Lead sources and business partners
Where needed to validate source rights, consent, lead quality, refunds, or operational performance, we may share limited lead, purchase, or audit information with lead source partners and business partners.
Legal, safety, and business transfers
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to enforce our policies, to investigate misuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Google user data
Google Sign-In is used only to authenticate users and help maintain buyer or administrator accounts. We do not request Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or other sensitive Google API scopes.
We do not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, use Google user data to determine credit-worthiness or lending eligibility, or transfer Google user data to data brokers or information resellers. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the marketplace, maintain purchase and consent audit history, provide support, resolve disputes, collect payments, comply with legal and tax obligations, detect abuse, and enforce our agreements.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
Your choices and rights
- You may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information associated with your buyer account.
- You may ask us to correct inaccurate business, billing, contact, or account details.
- You may request deletion where retention is not required for security, legal, billing, tax, dispute, fraud-prevention, or audit reasons.
- Manage marketing preferences and SMS alerts through account settings or standard opt-out commands.
- Depending on your location, you may have rights to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling under applicable privacy law.
Additional notices
The marketplace is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
If we materially change this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date and, where required, provide additional notice or request consent before using information in a materially different way.
